The Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the South Carolina Supreme Court limiting the amount of court that is scheduled and limiting what types of cases the courts can hear. Bond hearings and bond court must continue, per the South Carolina Supreme Court. Magistrate Judges must hold bond court at least once every 24 hours to ensure that individuals arrested have a bond hearing. Furthermore, Circuit Courts are conducting bond hearings on cases for which Magistrates are prohibited from setting bonds on and are conducting bond reduction hearings when appropriate.
If you have a loved one who has been arrested and needs a bond hearing, or a bond reduction hearing, please contact John or call the office at (864) 467-3221.
